Cancellation Policy: Appraisal Services

Introduction and Scope 

This policy outlines the terms and conditions for the cancellation of bookings and requests for refunds for appraisal services ("the Services") purchased by doctors ("the Client") from Aptitude Support Ltd. ("the Provider"). These Services are typically professional consultancy/review services, often involving scheduled time with an appraiser and access to digital resources. 


1. Cancellation by the Client 

The right to a refund depends on the timing of the cancellation relative to the scheduled appraisal date and whether digital content has been accessed. 


Timeframe Before Scheduled Appraisal Date 


More than 14 days:  Appraisal tool not accessed 

100% Refund 

Full refund of the total fee paid. 


More than 14 days:   Appraisal tool accessed 

Partial Refund 

100% of the appraisal fee minus a non-refundable access/administration fee of 25% 


Between 7 and 14 days:  Appraisal tool not accessed

Partial Refund 

100% of the appraisal fee minus a non-refundable access/administration fee of 25%  


Between 7 and 14 days:  Appraisal tool accessed

Partial Refund 

100% of the appraisal fee minus a non-refundable access/administration fee of 25% 


Less than 7 days: Irrespective of access 

0% Refund 

Due to the scheduled time commitment of the appraiser which cannot be re-booked at short notice. The Provider may offer a re-scheduling option instead (see Section 3). 


1.1. Digital Content & Statutory Rights 

By accessing any proprietary digital content, forms, or guidance materials provided by the Provider immediately upon purchase, the Client acknowledges that, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, their right to cancel (the statutory 14-day cooling-off period) is waived if the service/content has begun or been fully performed. 


In the context of appraisal services, "commenced" is defined as either accessing the digital materials or the scheduled time passing (whichever comes first). 


2. Re-scheduling Policy 

The Client may request to re-schedule their appraisal. This request must be made in writing. 

  • More than 7 days notice: Re-scheduling is usually free of charge. 
  • Less than 7 days notice: A re-scheduling fee of 25% may be applied to cover administrative costs and appraiser re-allocation. 
  • Failure to Attend (No-Show): If the Client fails to attend the scheduled appraisal without providing prior notice, the fee is non-refundable, and a new full booking and payment will be required to re-schedule. 


3. Cancellation by the Provider  

If the Provider is required to cancel an appraisal (e.g., due to appraiser illness, unavoidable scheduling conflict), the Client will be offered the option of: 

  • A full and immediate refund of all fees paid. 
  • A re-schedule to the next mutually convenient date. 


The Provider accepts no liability for any costs incurred by the Client resulting from a cancellation by the Provider (e.g., lost earnings, travel costs). 


4. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund 

All requests for cancellation, re-scheduling, or refund must be submitted in writing via email to hello@aptitudesupport.com.  The request must include: 

  • Client's Full Name 
  • Appraisal Date/Time Booked 
  • Reason for Cancellation/Refund Request 


5. Refund Processing 

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 calendar days of the cancellation request being approved. 


Refunds will be issued back to the original method of payment used for the booking.
